Windows Infrastructure Specialist
Position Summary:
We are
currently seeking a Windows Infrastructure Specialist to assist in
infrastructure planning, maintenance and enhancements. The ideal candidate will
also be responsible for keeping network hardware and operating systems current
by performing routine updates, monitoring performance and completing all
necessary diagnostics.
Essential Functions:
-
Install,
configure and maintain Windows 2000 / 2003 networks and custom applications
-
Troubleshoot
complex system-level problems with Windows 2000 / 2003 physical and virtual
servers, laptops, workstations and applications
-
Implement and
maintain security controls on laptops, workstations and servers
-
Perform research
in order to evaluate LAN requirements and identify / resolve specific issues
-
Assist
software developers in configuring client, system and application software
-
Design,
implement and monitor backup / recovery and business continuity systems
-
Assist with audit
compliance mandates
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree
in Computer Science, IT or related field preferred
-
Two to five years
of Corporate IT / Network Support with solid technical troubleshooting
abilities
-
In-depth
understanding of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and associated
technologies
-
Experience with
VMware Virtual Infrastructure and deploying Windows
machines in a virtualized environment
-
Demonstrated experience supporting workstations, laptops, Windows servers
and other IT infrastructure in a mission critical enterprise environment
-
Excellent

Computer Operator - 2nd Shift
(M-F, 3:30pm-12am)
Position Summary:
Working in a fast-paced, production environment, the ideal candidate will carry
out pre-defined operating procedures in support of various computer processing
platforms.
Essential Functions:
-
Achieve daily production goals in a timely and accurate manner
-
Ensure that all service level agreements are met
-
Run batch production schedules as assigned by shift manager and scheduling
toolset
-
Report abnormal batch production conditions for follow up and resolution
-
Send out various file transmissions as per documented schedules
-
Complete quality control checks on printed output
-
Run report loads and copies according to established guidelines
-
Verify that mission critical reports are properly loaded into central report
system
-
Communicate any production issues or delays to shift manager
-
Provide printer support as necessary
-
Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma; formal technical training highly desirable
-
3 years computer operations experience
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills
-
Working knowledge of Windows suite of products
-
Conceptual knowledge of network and LAN topology
-
Ability to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis
