Linda Stahl Named Connecticut Woman of Innovation
Wins Small Business Innovation & Leadership Award
|
AVON, CT, January 22, 2010 —
Nearly
600 attendees packed the Aqua Turf’s ‘Glass Room’ on
January 20 to meet Connecticut’s most innovative women
and discover who among the 59 finalists would win the 9
top prizes. The finalists hailed from the state’s most
prestigious workplaces – General Electric, Pitney Bowes,
United Technologies, and Yale.
From
this crowded field, COCC’s Linda Stahl, Vice President –
Strategic Products, won the Small Business Innovation &
Leadership Award.
Ms.
Stahl’s award recognizes her involvement in the
development, promotion and support of innovative
technologies that have reduced paper and power
consumption at community banks and credit unions
throughout the
Northeastern
U.S.
The
awards program, sponsored by the Connecticut Technology
Council, recognizes women in the workforce who are
innovators, role models and leaders in the technology,
science and engineering fields.
“Many
of Connecticut’s most extraordinary and talented women
working in technology participated in this program,”
said Matthew Nemerson, president and CEO of the
Connecticut Technology Council. “This awards gala allows
us to spotlight these exceptional innovators and
leaders, while also introducing them to a professional
network of equally accomplished peers.” |

Ms. Stahl
helped originate COCC’s ‘software as a service’ model which the
company now uses to deliver business intelligence, check
processing, risk management and document management solutions.
Ms. Stahl’s promotion and support of these strategic products
helped COCC’s clients improve their productivity by as much as
75% and dramatically reduced their use of paper, office
equipment and physical space. Strategic product sales also
helped COCC double its sales revenue since 2002.
“I am deeply
honored to be recognized by this spectacular group of talented
women,” said Ms. Stahl. “My accomplishments reflect the quality
of COCC as a service organization. Our teamwork enabled me to
bring a vision of greater productivity and sustainability to
reality at banking institutions throughout our region. My
colleagues deserve this award as much, if not more, than I do.”
