New Standard for Financial Data Processing

COCC INTRODUCES TOTAL QUALITY PROCESSING

AVON, Conn — NOVEMBER 4, 2004 — COCC, a leading provider of next generation technology services for community banks and credit unions, has launched a new marketing campaign aimed at increasing awareness of the company’s high quality data processing services. COCC services and communications will bear the new brand: “Total Quality Processing.”

“From this point forward, Total Quality Processing will communicate to the financial services industry that COCC is the best choice they can make for outsourced data processing services,” said Richard A. Leone, President and CEO.

Building on the momentum of COCC’s successful migration of all clients to an open, relational system, the company has attracted a record number of new clients and received client service ratings well into the excellent range. The new Total Quality Processing campaign focuses on the company’s growing reputation for affordable, state-of-the-art technology solutions and strong client relations.

“Total Quality Processing means superior technology choices,” said Leone. “Open systems, from the core processing platform to the strategic products integrated with it, deliver the flexibility that today’s financial institutions need to adapt to market changes at consumer speed.”

Leone added that COCC’s ongoing development efforts also form an important component of Total Quality Processing. “COCC develops two major system upgrades each year and integrates a host of third party solutions to its core processing platform,” Leone reported. “These efforts helped COCC further expand its cost-effective suite of quality solutions.”

Among the products resulting from these alliances were image exchange, overdraft privilege, anti-money laundering, and management consulting services. Using its collective buying power, COCC negotiated favorable pricing from its alliance partners and passed the savings on to clients to further reduce their costs.

Underscoring its close client ties, the company formed a Strategic Development Council this year. Composed of senior officers from COCC and its client institutions, the council assists the company in defining and prioritizing banking technology and business needs.

“One of our Total Quality Processing initiatives is COCC’s power user program,” said Leone. Utilizing multiple levels of training, power user institutions learn to maximize their return on their technology investments. The best practices training is reinforced by web resources and “shadow days” where COCC specialists observe client operations and recommend procedural modifications to increase revenue, streamline processes and improve market share.

Leone added that the company’s cooperative structure makes it unique in the industry. “Client ownership gives us total focus on service delivery. That focus on client success and the relationships necessary to achieve it has earned the respect of the financial services industry.”

Total Quality Processing will communicate to the industry that COCC is exceeding its clients’ strategic requirements and setting them above their peers. Total Quality Processing is a key factor in the company’s strategy to be recognized as the premier provider of technology products and services in the Northeast.
