As President and Chief Operating Officer, Joseph D. Lockwood is responsible for COCC’s technology and security strategies as well as the company’s day-to-day operations and customer service teams. Mr. Lockwood has proven himself as a thought leader for COCC’s products and technologies, using his leadership and foresight to propel COCC into the new technologies of our ever-evolving industry. Drawing upon his deep knowledge of networks, security, operations management and bank technology, Mr. Lockwood has managed COCC’s ground-breaking technical achievements, particularly centered around our electronic payment channels, Internet banking platforms, extensive virtualization and state-of-the-art business intelligence and risk management platforms. Mr. Lockwood has also been critical to building the large third-party relationships that allow COCC to continue providing best of breed products to our clients. On a day-to-day basis, Mr. Lockwood is the answer to our client institutions on all of their product and service needs. His continued persistence and forward-thinking approach have truly shaped COCC’s growth and success.
Mr. Lockwood is a 2009 CIO 100 honoree and recipient of the Connecticut Quality Council’s first Process Excellence award. He speaks frequently to trade associations about technology issues and how financial institutions can best manage them. Mr. Lockwood holds a Masters degree in Business Administration.
