COCC Hosts 2026 Treasury & Cash Management Forum

Each March, COCC hosts a week dedicated entirely to treasury and cash management: two connected events designed to help community banks and credit unions build stronger commercial offerings and stay ahead of an evolving payments landscape.

The week opens at COCC headquarters with Treasury & Cash Management University, an instructor-led, two-day highly interactive training experience, limited to 24 attendees for a personalized hands-on learning environment. The program guides treasury and cash management teams on a journey toward trusted advisor status with their clients, covering everything from business development strategy to prospecting and articulating the real value treasury services deliver.

From there, the focus shifts to the Treasury & Cash Management Forum. As the event has grown in both attendance and demand, the week’s second act has moved off-site: this year, nearly 100 clients, industry experts, and solution partners gathered at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bristol, Connecticut for the Forum.

The Forum was designed as an interactive exchange, giving financial institutions space to explore industry developments, share operational insights, and connect with COCC specialists and partners across a full day of sessions, and open discussion.

Product Updates & Industry Developments

Throughout the day, COCC specialists led sessions focused on developments shaping treasury operations and payments innovation. Discussions included the expanding role treasury teams play in supporting commercial clients.

Guest speakers also shared industry perspectives, including Sean Carter, AAP, APRP, President and CEO of NEACH, who reviewed upcoming NACHA fraud monitoring rule requirements and best practices for strengthening ACH fraud prevention.

The forum featured vendor showcases, where partners demonstrated emerging tools designed to support treasury operations, integrated payments, and cash flow management. These sessions gave attendees the opportunity to explore new technologies and discuss practical applications for their institutions.

Client Perspectives on Treasury & Cash Management

A highlight of the event was a client-led panel discussion where industry leaders shared their experiences building and expanding treasury services within their institutions. Panelists included:

  • Laurel Egan Kenny, President & CEO, Turningpoint Communications
  • Katie Penoyer, VP, Treasury Operations, CNB Bank
  • Steve Sherman, VP, Head of Cash Management, Bristol County Savings Bank
  • Stacey Uccello, SVP, Director of Cash Management, Ion Bank

The panel explored strategies for scaling treasury offerings, adapting to evolving client expectations, and leveraging technology to strengthen commercial banking relationships in an increasingly competitive market. Panelists echoed the importance of internal alignment in driving both speed and client satisfaction.

“Getting the right stakeholders aligned early across compliance, operations, and client-facing teams is what allows us to move quickly without compromising on risk or the client experience.” Said Katie Penoyer, VP, Treasury Operations, CNB Bank.

Collaboration & Client Engagement

In addition to educational sessions, the setting provided time for networking, allowing attendees to exchange ideas and build connections with peers across the COCC client community.

“The Treasury & Cash Management Forum is an important opportunity for us to connect with our clients and share insights on innovations and challenges shaping the industry,” said Alex Campbell, FVP and Chief Payments Officer of COCC. “We appreciate the strong participation this year and value the collaboration that helps guide the continued development of our treasury and cash management solutions.”

As treasury and payments services continue to evolve, COCC remains focused on equipping financial institutions with the tools, insight, and collaboration needed to support their commercial clients and navigate industry changes.
