Privacy Policy

In accordance with Connecticut General Statute Sec. 42-471, COCC has created the following Privacy Protection Policy. This policy shall be displayed on COCC’s website at all times.

COCC is committed to maintaining your confidence and trust, and accordingly maintains the following privacy policy to protect “personal information” as defined in C.G.X. §42-471©, as part of conducting its business activities. COCC’s privacy protection policy is designed to protect the confidentiality of personal information, to prohibit the unlawful disclosure of personal information and to limit access to personal information.

COCC’s Commitment to Security

Comprehensive policies and procedures have been developed and implemented to ensure the security and integrity of personal information. Access to personal information is strictly controlled and granted only to those individuals with a legitimate business need. Personal information stored at COCC is disposed of using defined methods designed to protect the confidentiality of all personal information. All COCC employees and contractors who have been granted access to personal information are required to adhere to these policies and procedures.

 

Personal Information that COCC May Collect

COCC may obtain personal information such as, but not limited to, Social Security numbers as part of its normal business operation.

 

How COCC May Use Personal Information Collected

COCC will use your personal information only for the purpose for which it was submitted such as to reply to inquiries, to process employment applications, to process salary and benefits information, or to process information on behalf of a client as part of the regular business operations.

 

How Your Information May Be Shared

Information collected by COCC as part of an employment process is shared with only those organizations involved in the employment screening process and those organizations involved in salary and benefits administration. Information obtained as part of COCC’s normal business operations may be shared with other entities as outlined in customer contracts. COCC never sells or rents personal information.

We will also release personal information under the following circumstances:

Where release is required by law (for example, a subpoena) or regulation, or is requested by a government agency conducting investigations or proceedings or is required by contractual obligations with the owner of the personal information.

 

Children’s Privacy

COCC’s site is not directed to or intended for children. COCC does not knowingly collect or post information from children under the age of 13 in compliance with laws protecting the privacy of children. Computer Tracking and Cookies

Our web site is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered by its visitors. Our site logs do generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our site. This information is used for internal purposes by technical support staff to provide better services to the public. This is statistical information that contains no personal information and cannot be used to gather personal information.
