COCC has been named the No. 3 Top Workplace in Connecticut in the large company category. The 2026 Top Workplaces winners were announced on September 16 at an awards ceremony held at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.
Sponsored regionally by the Hartford Courant, the Top Workplaces Awards recognize organizations that foster exceptional workplace cultures. Honorees are selected based on employee feedback gathered through a confidential survey that measures key aspects of the workplace experience, including leadership, company direction, management, employee engagement, fulfillment, and work-life balance. COCC also earned a special award for well-being, ranking highest among surveyed companies for the statement, “This company does a great job of prioritizing employee well-being.”
This marks COCC’s 12th top-three finish and its eighth top-three placement in the large company category, which recognizes organizations with more than 500 employees. In addition, COCC is among only a select group of companies to have appeared in the Top 10 every year since the program’s inception in 2011 and is the only large company to earn a place on the list for 16 consecutive years.
“The Top Workplaces survey continues to provide meaningful employee insights that help shape workplace initiatives and reinforce the exceptional culture we strive to maintain,” said Richard A. Leone, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer & President of COCC. “We are incredibly proud to be ranked among the top three employers once again, and we are deeply grateful to our talented and dedicated employees for this recognition.”
COCC also received special recognition for employee well-being, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the health, wellness, and work-life balance of its employees. Through a comprehensive well-being program, employees benefit from quarterly Wellness Days, company-funded Lifestyle Spending Accounts, onsite chair massages, nutrition seminars, meditation classes, walking breaks, and monthly wellness challenges. COCC’s commitment to well-being extends beyond the workplace through company-supported community service and charitable giving initiatives, empowering employees to make a meaningful impact in the communities where they live and work.
The company’s continued success in the Top Workplaces program reflects its longstanding commitment to fostering an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and engaged.
“Our success is driven by a shared commitment to our mission, vision, and core values,” said Mr. Leone. “That foundation inspires our employees to do their best work, create exceptional experiences for our customers, support one another’s growth, and contribute to the long-term success of the company.”
