COCC Employees Make a Donation to Hartford Mutual Aid

A group of COCC employees recently assembled to offer a donation to Hartford Mutual Aid, a local organization which helps those who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by delivering food and other essential items. The neighborhood-based group attempts to raise money with the purpose of applying 100% of the proceeds toward feeding local families in need. The group of 33 COCC employees have personally donated a total of $3,200 and COCC contributed an additional $1,400.

Members of COCC’s Client Care Tech Support, WAN Services, Secure Hosting, Desktop Engineering, Field Technical Services, Cloud Services and SOC teams worked together to raise funds for the Hartford chapter. Having the opportunity to continue working remotely during the crisis, these employees felt a sense of gratitude to be relatively unaffected financially which prompted them to help those who were not as fortunate. The generous donations have helped hundreds of families in the Hartford area. According to the organization’s Facebook page, Hartford Mutual Aid has supported more than 1,200 individuals by providing 10,680 pounds of food. COCC is proud of its employees for helping in the community, especially during the uncertain times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
