50 Years in Business, 50 Years in Connecticut: COCC Celebrates Impressive Milestone

July 2017, Southington, Conn. – For one Connecticut-based company, it’s all about celebrating some pretty amazing milestones. On June 30, 2017, COCC marked two impressive achievements: 50 years in business and $100M in annual revenue.

Starting in Hartford, CT back in 1967, COCC has grown from a small bank processor to a financial technology firm supporting more than 175 financial institutions spread across the northeast. Today, COCC employs over 470 employees at their headquarters in Southington with strong roots to Connecticut. Over 90% of their employees are Connecticut-based, along with a portion of their clients being homegrown banks and credit unions right here within Connecticut as well. Recognized as a Top Workplace for many years, COCC knows how to have a good time thanking and commemorating the people who have made these milestones possible.

In late July, COCC celebrated these incredible milestones by gathering employees, clients, and Board members at the renowned Oakdale Theater in Wallingford for an evening of food, fun, and festivities, including an exclusive concert by a well-known rock band.

COCC has seen massive success over the course of five decades doing business in Connecticut. Despite an often tumultuous economic climate, as well as the rise and fall of countless tech companies, COCC has continued to grow.

In 2014, COCC outgrew their longstanding headquarters in Avon, CT and relocated to a newly redesigned building in Southington, CT. Later this year, COCC looks forward to completing a remodel of their Avon location, as well, which will allow them to add approximately 50 workspaces to aid in continued growth.

In 2016, COCC signed several new core clients in their biggest sales year ever and hired over 50 new full-time employees. Just this year, the company surpassed $100 million in annual revenue, and the future continues to look bright.

“While we have clients throughout New England, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio, our roots are truly here in Connecticut,” said Richard A. Leone, CEO. “Most of our employees and their families live in Connecticut. We continue to grow by fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility. Our clients appreciate this about our culture, and it shows as we continue to attract new business.”
